  Dec 11th, 19:13 UTC

One of the largest Free Software event in the world, the 8th edition of the International Free Software Forum called for papers. Proposals due on December 31st 2006.

The 8th International Free Software Forum - fisl8.0 - called for papers on December 2006. It will be realized from 12th to 14 April, 2007, in the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The proposals can be sent through the web submission interface up to December 31st.

fisl8.0 will be divided into ten different tracks (Development and Database; Web Development and Database; Admin; Community and Philosophy; Free Software Ecosystem; Education and Digital Inclusion; Gender; Games and Multimedia; Desktop; Cases). The proposals must comply to this tracks.

In this 8th edition of the fisl, as per request, proposals will also be divided in two levels: beginners and advanced. We hope this helps attendees to better find what to participate in, since the number os sessions have been increasing every year. "Every year we look forward to implement last edition's attendees suggestions in order to add even more quality to fisl", says the general coordinator of the Free Software Association (NGO that promotes fisl), Sady Jacques.

So, hurry up! Proposals due on December 31st!
