XWiki: the Open-Source Application Wiki

XWiki (http://www.xwiki.org), released under the GPL licence, is enabling professional Wiki based content management to be enhanced with powerful programming capabilities based on the XWiki Framework. With XWiki, companies can build lightweight web applications faster than ever, with no deployment costs. With XWiki, companies can enable Blog, FAQ, Photos, Presentation components, and tune them to their need, as well as build their own XWiki lightweight data-driven application from scratch. Advanced components like Web Services and Middleware components can be exposed in the XWiki Framework to become usable in the XWiki programming language.

XWiki includes a professional Wiki allowing companies to "Free their knowledge" and accelerate sharing of information. The flexibility of the Wiki concept, invented by Ward Cunningham, allows to adapt to all situations and capture micro-content informations that are usually not captured by other knowledge management tools.

XWiki has been the first professional Wiki to integrate with JSR168 Portal eXo Platform and is now compatible with the JBoss Portal Server.
