6th International Free Software Forum - Call For Papers

One of the largest Free Software event in the world, the 6th edition of the International Free Software Forum called for papers on January 10th. Proposals due on February 28th.
Pushing the Free Software ahead in the emerging economy countries like Brazil, the Projeto Software Livre Brasil (Brazilian Free Software Project) is pleased to announce the call for papers for the 6th edition of its International Forum - fisl6.0.
Past events already gathered around 5 thousand people, and had over 400 talks/sessions given by Free/Libre and Open Source Software developers and advocates. Past speakers include HP's Bdale Garbee and Jim Gettys, Ximian's Miguel de Icaza, Linux International's Jon 'maddog' Hall, MySQL's David Axmark, FSF's Richard Stallman and Timoty Ney, LTSP's Jim McQuillan, FSF-Europe's Georg Greve, Sun's Simon Phipps, KDE's Martin Konold, Debian's Martin Michlmayr, Postfix's Wietse Venema, IBM's Dan McGee, WindowMaker's Alfredo Kojima, just to mention the most prominent ones.
The 5th edition (2004) had participants from 35 countries, including Germany, Argentina, Spain, USA, France, Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, Russia, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Mexico, Sweden, Japan, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Canada, Portugal, Denmark, Finland, and Norway. Even more countries are expected this year.
