Puget Sound Technology is teaching a beginning workshop covering the popular Apache HTTP Web Server on October 28 in Everett, Wash. The technical support and training company provides services for Apache and other open source software.

Puget Sound Technology's next workshop covers beginning web server administration. The evening class will be on Monday, October 28 in Everett, Wash. This workshop will cover the basics of installing, configuring and maintaining the Apache HTTP Server for hosting websites.

The training also covers common Apache run-time configuration directives, analyzing traffic logs, and techniques for setting up virtual hosting and password-protected webpages. This workshop covers version 2 of Apache HTTP Server.

The Apache Web Server is used by more websites than all other web servers combined. It is free and open source software; and it is available for Linux, BSD, Unix, BeOS, OS/2, and Windows.

The Linux and BSD technical support and training company is offering these seminars and workshops to introduce Linux and BSD and to provide practical training for busy information technology professionals.
