DigitalMedics is a German
start-up company that aims to develop medical image processing
software that exclusively runs under the Linux operating system.
The first product
features semi-automatic quantification of bone structures within
CAT-scan data and is scheduled for August/September 2000. Some
key features include quantification of:
- Medullary-canal diameters
- Medullary-canal area / absorption rate
- Cortical-bone diameters
- Cortical-bone area / absorption rate
