Denver, CO (March 1, 2000) -- The Colorado Linux Info Quest (CLIQ), the premiere event of the Rocky Mountain region for Linux businesses and enthusiasts, is pleased to announce the latest addition to our list of speakers: Scott Draeker, Founder and President of Loki Software. Scott's talk is titled "Free Software, Beer and Games", a look at how various categories of software fit into the open source model, from email and word processor applications to tax preparation, encyclopedias and games.

Scott S. Draeker is the founder and President of Loki Software. Linux Magazine listed Scott in their December 1999 issue as one of the top 50 persons to watch in the Linux community. Prior to founding Loki, Scott was an attorney in the Business & Technology Department of the San Francisco based law firm of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP, where he specialized in software licensing. Prior to that, Scott worked in the computer industry as a technical specialist for Apple Computer, Stanford University and LSI Logic. Scott received his B.A. in German Language from San Jose State University in 1992 and his J.D. from Boston University in 1996.


About the event

CLIQ, in association with local Linux user groups and local and regional Linux business sponsors, will be holding a one day event featuring a full days schedule of Linux exhibits, invited talks, real world demonstrations and Birds of a Feather sessions. The event is expected to draw at least 600 people to view exhibits, talks, demos and actively participate in Birds of a Feather sessions.

Colorado Linux Info Quest, known as CLIQ to it's members, is a registered non-profit organization in the state of Colorado. It is comprised of volunteers from Linux user groups throughout the Colorado Front Range. The aim of CLIQ is to assist both individual hobbyists and businesses in the Rocky Mountain region find answers to the question "What can I do with Linux?"
