KnowledgeTree and Exxaxon Partner to Deliver Document Management Solutions to Help Japanese Companies Comply with J-SOX

SAN FRANCISCO, US and TOKYO, JAPAN December 16, 2008 - KnowledgeTree, the leading provider of commercial open source document management software for small to medium-sized businesses, and Exxaxon, a systems integrator providing web CMS solutions for Japanese businesses, today announced the immediate availability of Japanese language support for the KnowledgeTree application, assisting Japanese companies in achieving compliance with the Financial Instruments and Exchange Law (J-SOX) prior to the 2009 deadline.

"KnowledgeTree is a compelling document management option for Japanese companies seeking J-SOX compliance", says Daniel Chalef, CEO of KnowledgeTree. "The application provides detailed auditing of all document activities, records management functionality, and flexible role or group-based security settings to control document access and permissible document actions. We are pleased to partner with Exxaxon to help Japanese businesses address their compliance challenges".

"KnowledgeTree has enormous potential in the Japanese market," says Sumitaka Kanno, CEO of Exxaxon. "The release of Japanese language support allows us to introduce enterprise-wide document management functionality to our customers before the Financial Instruments and Exchange Law compliance deadline. The application's ease of use, together with our experience in delivering content management solutions to Japanese businesses, will ensure a successful commercial rollout of the product in this market."

The Financial Instruments and Exchange Law, a set of laws passed to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting of Japanese companies, comes into effect after the fiscal year ending March 2009.
