Introducing CouncillorNet
Nov 18th, 00:50 UTC
Illawarra based Collaboration and New Media consultant, James Purser today launched a new service developed to assist Local Governments in providing a secure and easy to use collaboration environment for Councillors.
"CouncillorNet is an easy to use and cost effective hosted Extranet or Collaboration Space designed for the creation and management of 'Councillor Networks'." James said in a post announcing the launch of the service.
"Built using Open Source and Open Standards based technologies, CouncillorNet features an intuitive interface that allows new users to start interacting with the system with a minimum of training, while at the same time retaining a robust security model." James continued.
"We are using the experience we have gained working with both metro and regional Local Government bodies to provide what they need. We believe that Local Government and Open Source are a natural match, and we are committed to developing new services for the Local Government market in the future. CouncillorNet is only the beginning of what we hope will be a beautiful friendship."
