Announcing TWiki 4.2, the world's favorite Application Wiki

Enhancements to TWiki version 4.2 makes this powerful enterprise wiki applicable to new market segments allowing a wider range of users to benefit from wiki applications. It is available now as a free download from the twiki.org website.
San Jose, California, 16 January 2008 - TWiki.org, the open source community behind TWiki, the Application Wiki, today announced version 4.2 of its popular wiki software.
The new release focuses on improvements to installation, administration and programmability but also adds a completely new WYSIWYG editor which looks set to take the popular enterprise wiki into wider markets. TWiki contributor Crawford Currie says, "The new WYSIWYG editor has been enthusiastically taken up by a wide range of users, even those outside TWiki's traditional IT and engineering user base. This new feature will considerably widen TWiki's appeal."

Release highlights:
- WYSIWYG editor - a completely new, simple to use editor virtually eliminates the need for training and promotes faster and more inclusive take up of the wiki within the organization.

- New restore feature allows for easier rollback and policing of page changes/edits
- Installation enhancements to make installation and upgrades easier
