Linux Expo Finalizes Planning

SCALE Fills out all three days of sessions

The schedules for all three days of sessions at the So Cal Linux Expo, including the LOPSA tutorials, have been posted on the SCALE web site. They're available at http://socallinuxexpo.org/scale6x/conference-info/schedules/.

The commercial booths have all been filled. Several non-profit groups have recently been added to the SCALE expo floor: Enlightenment, which will be showcasing the work going into E17. Enlightenment is rarely seen at conferences, so this is your opportunity to learn about the desktop that first defined the term "eye candy". Also added were OpenMoko and Damn Small Linux. And for the first time all three of the major BSDs, OpenBSD, NetBSD, and FreeBSD will have booths at SCALE.

As a result of these recent additions, there are only a very few booths remaining for non-profits left on the show floor. If your organization is still considering attending SCALE, request a booth from g@socallinuxexpo.org.

There are still rooms available for ad hoc BOF (Birds Of a Feather) meetings in the evenings. If your group would like to meet at SCALE, contact g@socallinuxexpo.org with the following info: Contact Name, group hosting the BoF, and the subject/topic for the BoF and your preferred day, Saturday or Sunday, to reserve a room.

SCALE also needs volunteers to man a "User Groups of Southern California" booth. If you'd like to help, contact Gareth Greenaway at g@socallinuxexpo.org.

If you're contemplating attending SCALE 6X register at http://socallinuxexpo.org/scale6x/registration/. See http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale6x/conference-info/location/ for info on discounted hotel rooms.
We recommend you buy your ticket no later than January 27th to ensure you get a SCALE 6X t-shirt, which is provided free with a full Expo pass.

SCALE is the premier Open Source Software show in the southwestern United States. It has three days of conferences, eight conference tracks with over 60 speakers to choose from, and the expo floor has over 80 booths manned by both commercial organizations and Open Source non-profit groups. SCALE 6x is only a month away. Don't miss it!
