Claromentis - the customisable information framework written entirely in PHP and developed on Linux - has confirmed the public status of their API and seen commercial projects extended by PHP developers from around the world.

The new Claromentis API, soft released in September 2007, is allowing PHP developers to contribute extensions to the framework for commercial projects around the world. This allows Claromentis customers to adopt the commercially supported framework and then create bespoke applications to leverage the data model and permission systems to deploy killer applications to suit individual needs.

Because the developers are open source these applications can be deployed extremely rapidly and cost effectively, without license fee implications that are applicable in proprietary OS constrained applications and significantly total cost of ownership.
