Axway delivers enterprise-class "Business Collaborative Solutions" by integrating the MySQL Embedded Server into their Synchrony platform

PARIS -- December 4, 2007 -- MySQL AB, developer of the world's most popular open-source database, announced today that Axway, the leading global provider of Collaborative Business Solutions, and a subsidiary of the French Sopra Group, has chosen to integrate the MySQL Embedded Server into its Synchrony global platform.

Axway, which specializes in the implementation of integration technologies (EAI, B2Bi, BPM, BAM, etc.) and is strongly positioned in the logistics, healthcare and financial services markets, has incorporated the MySQL Embedded Server into its packaged Synchrony solution. Known for its high performance and ease-of-use, MySQL manages both the Synchrony configuration repository and the business data persistence for its Business Process Management and Business Application Monitoring solutions.

Synchrony provides a real-time service-oriented architecture (SOA) platform thanks to features that improve file transfer management, B2B coordination and inter-application visibility. Axway selected the MySQL Embedded Server for its combined features, performance and ease-of-use: a `low administration' database particularly well suited to the software vendor's requirements. These advantages, coupled with the assistance provided by the MySQL AB support team, have allowed Axway to deploy MySQL easily and quickly into all of its Synchrony-based products.

"MySQL greatly simplifies the deployment of our customers' solutions, while at the same time providing them with excellent performance and high reliability," said Antoine Leclercq, VP Product Management at Axway.

"We are delighted with Axway's choice," said Bertrand Matthelié, MySQL AB's senior director of Marketing for EMEA. "The MySQL Embedded Server allows vendors such as Axway to deliver a turnkey out-of-the-box enterprise solution to their customers -- including a non-crippled and high performance transactional database for more than twenty platforms."
